My parents bought this shadowbox lamp at an antique store in England in the early 1960’s. I inherited it when they passed away, but have not been able to use it for a variety of reasons. I finally had the whole thing fixed and seatched everywhere for just the right shade because the base is rectangular shaped. I found this on Wayfair, ordered it late last week and it arrived today. It is perfect. The quality is what I hoped for (and my mother would approve!) and the unusual shape really highlights the shadow box lamp base. Michael. Austin, TX. Mon Oct 05 2026

Mine is the amber one. It resembles a lamp that my grandmother owned years ago. The edge of the lamp shade looks very much like hand- tatted lace. The difference is, this lace is solid glass and will not ravel, stain, or catch dust. My grandmother's lamp had survived the Dust Bowl in Oklahoma, and the dust from the red soil had permanently stained it. This matters to me because I live in Oklahoma where we have loads of dust. I will always be able to clean any dirt that accumulates on the lamp shade. The lamp is stunning; I also love the two pull chains and the ambience provided by the soft amber color of the glass..
