This thing is amazing! I would prefer the option to have a softer yellow tone light in addition to the bright white, but it fits my needs. Needed a light out near the chicken coop/run but too far from nearest electrical feed to run anything permanent. This fits the bill. I have it on the mode where the light stays on low but comes on bright when approached or when it signals motion from a predator. Lights up the area very well for night time feeding/cleaning activities. I will remove the water from base and replace with sand before winter. These solar ‘street lights’ arrived on time in great shape perfect. They really are! There is 3 big solar spheres-they are plastic but look like glass. Used two of them and had the 3rd one to add somewhere else in the garden. The base and pole is metal not plastic adding to the beauty. Assembly was easy and quick. Anchoring it is up to you but easy. It is very nice however hardwiring is not an option for me. The small light that is powered by the solar battery does not put off very much light. It is very dim compared to other solar lights I have on my property. Since I was installing mine on a wood rail I had to find 4 screws that were long enough to fit the base. Very nice light fixture, that is hardwired. Base did not come with it so I ordered it separately and it fits it very nicely. Takes a standard bulb. Bought this lamp post to match my garage lights. Overall it looks good. My only complaint is that the glass is FROSTED not clear. It looks clear on the website but it’s not, it’s frosted.
