I was very hesitant to purchase this. For me, this is an expensive item. But I have to say right up front - it was worth it! First things first, you may need the jaws of life to open the packaging. It was that well packed. I’ve literally never seen flat packed furniture so well packed in my life. So there shouldn’t be any worry about it arriving damaged. Second, they said “solid wood” and they meant it. There’s not one piece of mdf in this thing. Literally the only thing I could complain about is the choice of pulls. I don’t like them. But that’s just my taste. There is nothing wrong with them. And they are so easy to replace. At the end of the day, would I buy this again? Yes. Without hesitation. I'm using it as a small office/desk. I had assemblers/handymen put it together and it took about 1.5 hours for 2 guys - that cost $220. I did not use the hanger/clothes pole. I got 2 black laminate shelves from Menards that are 12" deep to use as additional storage (see photo - top 2 shelves are NOT included in the purchase - I added these such that I can store more office supplies). I also had a hole put through the back of the unit for my printer cord which will sit on the top of the drawer. My laptop will go on center shelf. Cost of chest is very effective and materials are not the greatest but it does not look cheap when completed. I wouldn't store this anywhere with high humidity. Both the directions and holes predrilled were fairly easy to assemble. Due to the size it came in 3 sections but once the first was assembled it went much faster. We are pleased with armoire as far as the way it looks but the lack of the 5th star in the rating was simply due to the material in the outer pieces. One star removed because the doors are not lined up. I’m hoping I can fix it by rescrewing the hinges to move them slightly down, but I haven’t tried that yet. This is an incredible piece of furniture at a budget price. The room where this resides has no closet, and the armoire solved the storage problem. There are two hanging bars of different heights which supports long and shorter garments The shelves are more than adequate for guests to stow their clothes for a weekend. I paid a local handyman to assemble the piece, as Wayfair Assembly was unable to provide the service (major boo on that). It took a little over two hours to build the piece.
