The glass is thick and heavy to retain heat and the handle is comfortable to hold. The filter is designed for loose leaf tea and the wood lid helps retain heat and serves as a coaster. Made in France, the glass is fired at very high temperatures producing an exceptional quality glass that is crystal clear and durable. A pressure seam is sometimes visible, which is the mark left by opening the mould in which the glass is pressed. It is a characteristic of traditional French pressed machine glass.

This teapot is made of heat-resistant lead-free lab grade borosilicate glass to the likes of a science lab test tube. This glass component keeps this teapot clear and not clouded over the extent of its life.

It was an okay teapot until my sister accidentally broke it by dropping a butter knife on it. It held the amount I needed. I wasn't crazy about the shape but it was okay. It was all I could find at the time. The only thing left of it is the stainless stee. Anonymous. Thu Dec 26 2024
