I purchased two of these to put them outside in my backyard. I left them in the pot it came with and put them in larger pots with more rocks on top. Actual palms are notoriously difficult to keep alive. I went through 2 of them before finally deciding to go artificial—one of the best decisions regarding houseplants, especially here in Seattle where there’s limited sunlight a lot of the year. This outdoor palm tree looks great on our patio and was exactly what we needed for the space. It does not look quite as realistic as the indoor ficus tree we previously purchased from Wayfair, but that was expected since this one is designed for outdoor use. For an exterior setting, it still looks very nice and adds a tropical feel to the area. The size was accurate, setup was simple, and the materials seem durable enough to handle outdoor conditions. Once arranged and fluffed out, it filled the corner space perfectly and added a relaxing resort-style touch to our deck area. Overall, we are very happy with this purchase. Perfect! I ordered this artificial palm as I start swapping out some of my real plants. My one-year-old grandson has officially declared war on anything green and living, so I needed something that could survive him while still giving me those fresh pops of greenery around the house. This one absolutely delivers. The plant looks full and realistic, especially once you take a little time to shape the leaves. The vase is also really nice and adds to the overall look, so it doesn’t feel cheap or overly artificial. It fits perfectly in my space and brightens up the room. The only downside is the artificial dark green grass in the base. It’s a bit messy to deal with and sheds more than I expected during setup. Not a dealbreaker, just something to be aware of.
