Cage is absolutely beautiful. The only reason I took away one star is due to the instructions being more difficult than they should have been at the end, misaligned front piece that I can't seem to correct, and for some bent pieces (which were very easy to be back into place.) Note to others: when getting to the top portion, put the cage pieces in, then add the crossbars and tighten. You will save yourself a lot of frustration and finger pinching by doing it that way. It is still difficult that way though. Also, I recommend you go slow and make sure the cage stays in the channels before securing the crossbars. This is a very large cage. It was time consuming putting together but well worth it in the end. The directions were clear and easy to follow. I did put it together by myself and it took about 2 hours. Comes with a long skinny perch and 2 small food bowls. They are not big enough for my bird but nice to have included. It's a lovely cage, well made and designed for a small bird, like my cockatiel. We did have a problem getting the dome installed due to in -the-box damage, which left it enough askew that it took many tries to get the job done. Nice sturdy heavy cage just as discribed but not exactly what I expected. It is pretty but the bars are thicker than our previous cage so it's harder to see the birds. It only has 1 actual access opening so not convient to move things around in the cage. Other 3 openings are for changing food & water out. This is very common for many cages but my birds are not tamed and I do not have a bird room. I love how convenient it is to clean the cage with the pull out grid and the metal tray. Much better than grid inside cage and staticy plastic tray. The cons are some parts are slightly off and the bottom catcher comes apart. Pretty well constructed. Everything fit together nicely. Directions are a bit vague at times. But my 16 year old daughter assembled it completely on her own with the tools provided in the kit. Fit and finish is nice. Rather sturdy for a wire cage versus a wrought iron cage. But thats why the price is half of a wrought iron. My bird loves her new cage. I’m still adding toys and rearranging, there’s lots of room and I want her to have fun navigating various perches and from one side to the other. The only thing that I would change are the food and water cups that are designed for the food doors. on this cage. The cups are much taller and more narrow than standard bird feeder cups. They require a bird to almost stand on their head to extract food or water, and make water cup baths impossible. The assembly was easy, and all the elements were labeled and present.. Anonymous.
