This thing is amazing! I would prefer the option to have a softer yellow tone light in addition to the bright white, but it fits my needs. Needed a light out near the chicken coop/run but too far from nearest electrical feed to run anything permanent. This fits the bill. I have it on the mode where the light stays on low but comes on bright when approached or when it signals motion from a predator. Lights up the area very well for night time feeding/cleaning activities. I will remove the water from base and replace with sand before winter. So after fooling with this lamp post for ever, we finally got it together. The directions are horrible. That’s why I gave it a four stars. I had to go onto YouTube and figure out how to put this together so throw the instructions away people. It’s really tall nice lamp post it turns on at night but we just got it together so we didn’t have it charged up it’s more of a fake steel. Bought this lamp post to match my garage lights. Overall it looks good. My only complaint is that the glass is FROSTED not clear. It looks clear on the website but it’s not, it’s frosted. The post was easy to assemble and high quality. I was pleasantly surprised that it came with the wedge bolts I needed for my application as well as plastic caps for the bolts.
