Our column wraps are shipped unfinished ready for paint. The 5-inch diameter column wraps are made to cover standard structural posts in basements and other interior areas. Amazing...I grappled with buying these columns for 2 years, because of the non-refundable policy, so I had to be sure. I have a small porch so I knew I couldnt get the columns to wide or the proportions would look odd. So I used makeshift cardboard and the like to determine what to buy...I made the best decision with the 5.63 width columns they look amazing. My contractor bought 5 wood post from our local big box store and used brackets to install them on the porch. He used his nail gun to fasten each wrap to the wood post, he said it was rather simple to install. Next he caulked all the small nail gun holes and painted ( per instructions for winter protection) looks amazing. Really dressed up our columns. We ordered 2 wraps and unfortunately one was incorrectly cut so we had to ship it back but received a replacement quickly. As a DIY project, it was pretty easy to install but the instructions weren't great. Also, there were no videos on how to install it from the manufacturer which would have been nice.. Anonymous.
