I bought this light to replace the hallway for your light which was too dark and yellow and shade. This light is clear and bright, but the picture itself is significantly smaller than the image implies. Beautiful light. Very pleasant to look at. Three things to know. The directions are useless. It sits about 1" below the ceiling, not completely flush. Flush mount lights can be really annoying to install because there is so little space to align the mounting screws with the holes in the fixture.
