Nice desk. Went with grey color and like it. Very heavy box and material. Material feels like it is made from that plastic that picnic or school tables are made with. Wood grain look is nicerealistic. I don’t think it will scratch easily. Because there are two configuration options it is quite confusing, mainly the drawer part, but holes lined up just fine. I absolutely love this desk. Obviously at this price, it is not going to be solid wood. It’s made of particle board in China but it looks so much nicer. Some pieces were a little dinged on the edges, but none of that shows once it’s built. I have it next to a high quality dresser in my bedroom and it fits right in. I love that the top lifts to a standing desk when needed. My husband assembled it on his own and knocked it out pretty quickly. He’s an angel. I would not have enjoyed the process, but he found it very easy. Wayfair shipped it quickly. The only major annoyance is that they used FedEx and my FedEx driver is too lazy to take it out of the truck to deliver it. My Ring camera caught him on two consecutive days coming to my door to take a picture of my empty porch. He didn’t knock or ring and I got notified that delivery was attempted but no one was home. I’m giving this desk 4 stars because, while it is very spacious and offers plenty of room to work, I ran into several issues. I consider myself quite handy and enjoy putting furniture together, but the instructions were not the best. Additionally, one of the wooden planks arrived damaged. To make it fit my son’s bedroom layout, I had to reverse the configuration even though the desk isn’t designed to be reversible. Because of this, I had to place the angled plank upside down and couldn’t screw it into the metal frame however, this allowed the damaged part to face downward so it isnt noticeables. I was able to properly screw in the rectangular plank. While the metal frame is very sturdy and the desk provides a great amount of workspace, another downside is that fingerprints show up very easily on the wood.
