The area rug arrived folded into a bundle. When we unrolled it there were many lumps and bumps. It took just a few days for the wrinkles to relax and smooth out. I ordered the 14” rug pad. Glad I did because the rug needs a non-slip surface. The rug is soft to the touch and easy to vacuum. The blue color and pattern of the rug are much darker and more vibrant than pictured online. Good quality construction. Very nice, soft colors, though the background taupe is somewhat darker than expected and there is more yellow/gold than expected, creating a warmer overall look. The weaving pattern has faded horizontal striping, similar to the very inexpensive rugs that are everywhere today, which makes it overpriced in my opinion. The dimensions are also off, not a lot, but enough that it doesn't work well in my space (9'1"x 11'9") but that length also includes a total of 3" of fringe which makes it too short for my room.
