The bed is really pretty, sturdy, solid wood, but it’s a few things that prevent me from giving 5 stars. No instructions, took some time to find them online. The headfootboardsside rails don’t perfectly line up, which bothers the perfectionist in me. Not enough screws included to screw in both sides of each slat, had to do every other. The bed went together fairly easily, even with one person! For a few of the steps, I had it leaning on the wall with a blanket for extra protection, but the pieces went together smoothly with little extra effort. The most time consuming part was simply attaching the bed slats, which was quick with a drill. I ordered this bed a few days ago and it already arrived. It took me about 2 hours to put together by myself. The side pieces were definitely a challenge because the holes didn't line up correctly so I had to take my time to make it work. I wish the slats were thicker but overall it seems pretty sturdy. The Dark Walnut carries genuine American Black Walnut veneer, imported directly from North America, with solid Black Walnut legs that bring that same quiet authority to the floor. Because real veneer is drawn from living wood, no two pieces share the same grain or figure. The piece in your bedroom belongs only to that room. The headboard is woven from chosen rattan strands, kiln-treated against moisture and insects, and set within a softly rounded frame that floats between two upright posts with a deliberate gap on either side.
