Very nice fan! Sleek, lightweight, and the remote is easy to understand. Exactly as it looks. Some fans wobble quite readily, but this one is built to be steady (follow the instructions carefully). We used the longer down-rod, supplied, and the fan barely shifted, even on the highest speed. Note... if you currently have a fan that has 2 wall switches, you will need to consider that, as this fan is built for ONE wall switch, then both the fan and light work off of the remote. Three beautiful parasol wood blades with rigorous craftsmanship and a smooth and delicate surface will add a modern design to your space. This is a modern style ceiling fan without ight. DC motors are manufactured with built-in permanent rare-earth magnets which enable them to produce greater power while using less electricity – about 3-5 times less electricity than standard AC motors. Standard AC motors use electricity to create magnetic poles which in turn causes the motor to rotate. With built-in magnets, the DC motor does not use the extra electricity to create the magnetic poles and therefore uses less power to function.
