Knolls Authentic Hand Knotted Distressed Persian Style Rug

The Serapi Collection reinterprets traditional tribal geometric design through a refined palette. Each rug is hand-knotted from hand-spun lamb’s wool, creating a soft underfoot feel. Natural variation in the yarn introduces depth and tonal variation, while vegetable-based dyes produce a warm, earth-toned palette. A patina gives each piece the appearance of an aged Serapi rug. Designed for traditional and transitional interiors.

This rug is pretty but it is not exactly as expected. I thought it would fit in more than it does with other Persian rugs throughout the house. But it is more in-line with a rug you would buy from a big box store; it is kind of nubby if that makes sense. The main issue I have with it is that I cannot get it to lay flat. I have tried everything and the edges just keep rolling up. That is annoying for a rug in front of the kitchen sink. This rug came without damages, does not have any odor and the colors are neutral. It does require a rug pad.. Jessica. Tallahassee, FL. Fri Jul 10 2026

We really like the classic, though muted, color scheme of this rug. It has an antique look and a very flat weave. You may want a thick pad.
