If you need to cut it, you can make a few cuts on the back of the product to bypass the hand sanitizer dispenser. This is simpler and can prevent water from entering. (But cutting requires skill) So it is best to ensure there are no obstacles. It is not suitable for curved-edge sinks, side-sink, round sinks, or thick faucet bases. It is not only a splash-proof pad for the sink, but also can become a storage rack for toothbrushes, water cups, hand sanitizer, etc. in the bathroom!
