Just put it together today (by myself, mind you!), so I can’t speak to the quality long term, but it’s perfect for what I need right now. Took me an about 2 hours to put together - lining up the heavy top was a little bit of a struggle, but i got it after a few adjustments. It’s heavier duty partial board, but the coating on it seems like it’ll hold up well. Sturdy, Cute, and functional. Came well packaged. It took me about 3.5hrs to assemble by myself. You can put it together in 1/2 the time if assembly is your gig. I left the towel rack off and eventually took the side shelf off, because my room is small and honestly I think it looks better. When the leaf is open, it created more counter top than I thought it would. The back is plain and could use some adhesive drawer/shelf liner, which I might do later. This is a nice kitchen island once assembled. Very spacious and has good counter space. There are 5 wheels so it can be easily moved around. The instructions and assembly were not easy. The pictures of the boards were not exactly the same as the boards so holes were in slightly different spots making it difficult at times to decipher where a screw should be. There was one large piece that was not pre drilled correctly in one spot. The material is very soft so you’ll have to be gentle when screwing screws in or it will start cracking or breaking.. Amanda. I was hesitant to buy this since a large amount of reviews on here said it was difficult to put together. As long as you follow the instructions and use common sense, it is fairly simple to do by yourself. Took me about 4 hours but it was so worth the time! I purchased 2 of these kitchen islands for use in my home based t-shirt printing business. The island itself was easy to put together. It is sturdy and esthetically pleasing. The surface area dimensions is perfect for use as a food prep surface in a kitchen. I needed 2 back to back for business reasons. The only negative is that one arrived damaged on a le and on the top in such a way that the top cannot be fully fasten to the leg. I was able to work around it.
