Just put it together today (by myself, mind you!), so I can’t speak to the quality long term, but it’s perfect for what I need right now. Took me an about 2 hours to put together - lining up the heavy top was a little bit of a struggle, but i got it after a few adjustments. It’s heavier duty partial board, but the coating on it seems like it’ll hold up well. This is a great product. It’s wasn’t difficult to put together but it took a long time due to so many pieces. It took about 5.5 hours to assemble for one person but I think would be quicker and easier with 2 people. I gave it four stars because the trash bin drawer is a little shaky so we added L brackets to give a little more stability to the drawer. Overall I think this was a great purchase.. Sandra. I was hesitant to buy this since a large amount of reviews on here said it was difficult to put together. As long as you follow the instructions and use common sense, it is fairly simple to do by yourself. Took me about 4 hours but it was so worth the time! Love this island!! We removed our previous built-in island and had new floors installed so I wanted a free standing island so we had continuing floors throughout. The island arrived with all parts in perfect condition. It took us 2.5 hours to assemble with no problems at all. Its a definite 2 person job.
