I was a little skeptical because this Kitchen Island was fairly inexpensive. I opted to pay to have it assembled and that was done today. I love it. It has as much space as i hoped since it was only 43" long and the cabinets and drawers are ample size to hold a lot of kitchen items. This is so much more useful than the table and chairs for two that I had there before. The Island is sturdy, attractive and versatile. The stools are very comfortable. My only complaint is that before ordering I called Wayfair customer service to find out if I could purchase the item but delay delivery. The person i spoke to assured me that as soon as I had a tracking number I could contact Fed Ex and reschedule. I got the tracking number too late to stop the delivery which came in two days instead of three as noted on the order. Most people would not complain about this but I had a flight the day of delivery; luckily it arrived before I had to leave for the airport. It’s a really nice product for the price. Took me a little while to put together since I did it on my own but I liked the results. It was bigger than I expected and a lot of storage space. Two of the holes were pre drilled in the wrong spot so I just drilled new ones and there’s a space in between both doors, I’m gonna have my dad try to fix it so it’s closed all the way. This island is exactly what ive been looking for. Unlike many others I have seen this one has the bonus of being double sided so there is a lot of storage space. The drop leaves on each end make it perfect for narrower kitchens and it is a fairly easy build if you are experienced with building flat packs. The instructions say its a two person build but I did it by myself in about five hours, you just need to think outside the box when it comes to some of the more fiddly pieces. Love this! I have a small kitchen and wanted an island I could use as a table. I looked at several before deciding on this one for the following reasons: 1. Drop leaf supported by solid brackets. 2. Trashcan door. 3. Fake marble top is more moisture-proof than others I looked at. 4. Locking wheels. 5. I didn't need an outlet on it. I put this together by myself (f,70). It took me most of a day as I leisurely assembled it. Instructions were good. I had one set of drawer slides backwards, but easily fixed. Piece (#37), that paper towel brackets go on, has holes different distances from the edges. Since you put this piece on while the table is upside down, the holes closest to the edges go closer to the floor (the top of the table). I had it backwards and the trashcan door hit the paper towel roll whenever I opened it. I was able to take things apart and flip it over. I had a little trouble getting the top seated properly, but with some pushing of the posterboard-like pieces (#14/#15), it slipped into place in the slot on the top. The bottom hinged door is slow close! I love having the extra storage space. It's very solid. I bought 2 bar stools to go with it. I couldn't be happier. I wanted an island with a trash can cabinet. It took a long time to assemble and the directions were not the best. Also, the materials are not the best quality.
