This is great - I havent used it much yet but it was fairly straight forward to build. It took my by myself about 2.5 hours. The last step was the most difficult and would have been better with a second person. I’m using it as a work area in my home office. The height and size is perfect to work at while standing. One mistake I made which was pretty dumb on my part was I built it in one part of my house and it was going to be used in another room.... well, it is too big to go through the doorway. I had to carefully take off a few pieces without damaging it to slide it through the doorway. Just be aware of that - it is too wide and the depth is too wide to fit through a normal house doorway.. The holes for the door hinges were off 1/4" from each other so are misaligned. I wasn't going to risk making things worse by drilling new holes so close to the existing ones. I still like the island, but for the money spent, would have expected better.. Anonymous. Roanoke, VA. Sat Mar 28 2026
