Great buy for the price! This piece was delivered quickly in 2 heavy boxes. Yes, 2 adults are needed to move and assemble. First impression efficiently and safely packaged. I could see right away that I liked the colorwood grain pattern of the product, and the (many) pieces looked well-made with smooth edges. Tons of hardware included. Next, we used the team approach to confirm all pieces where included—one called out part number, the other checked it off on the instructions. Speaking of instructions these are very well done. Typically, I see a self-assemble product like this and I’m CERTAIN I won’t be able to do this. With this product, the instruction booklet is long, detailed and made up primarily of pictures showing how each section is put together. The steps are over-explained through these drawings, making it very clear how each step goes together. These were some of the clearest instructions I’ve ever worked with! The wood pieces went together smoothly. Using the diagram instructions to ensure we had everything oriented properly (are all the holes matching the diagram, etc.) worked really well. The insane number of hardware pieces led to an incredibly sturdy construction. Everything went together exactly as described in the instruction booklet. All pre-drilled holes lined up, we even had extra screws and other hardware in case of a misplaced or broken piece. This took 2 adults 3 full hours to assemble. One of us is extremely mechanically inclined, the other is good at organizing and checking off vompleted strps. The final product is sturdy and good looking. It’s a substantial piece of furniture. I like the color and I like the dimensions. I wish that it had come in one piece and not had to be put together, but I’m sure it was too big to ship. My only other qualm is the drawers… They’re not soft close and you have to push them in and then give them another hard push to get them to close completely. I just got this so theres no longevity in this review, though I will go back and update after a while. This item is heavy, two packages arrived totaling around 200 lbs, I should have checked weight before buying as a female who lives alone. But this is beautiful. My kitchen is small so I knew it would take up the majority of my space but it surpassed my expectations in the look department. The only reason I mentioned the weight is that if you dont like it, it almost feels like you are kind of stuck with it and I read in another review that Wayfair was not as happy to return to his item so people should be aware. Love the storage space, I went from not having enough counter or cabinet space in my kitchen to having extra space. It is heavy duty, strong and good quality. Im only take a star away because there was a part of my foundation that was a bit compromised, and because this item is so huge and heavy replacing a part especially on the foundation isnt easy. I had it professionally put together and the handy man showed me the issue. Im going to report it to Wayfair but Im not sure how they could fix this and I also read someone having a similar issue, which, in all fairness could be the delivery process, you have to handle with care. After taxes this thing was almost 800 bucks so for anything to be compromised is a bit upsetting for me. However I do love it and cant wait to put it to use. I wanted to move to a bigger home but chose not to and Ive always wanted a kitchen island and it is visually perfect. The design kind of looks like granite but it isnt, but the top is very sturdy which I like. It looks elegant and fancy and I do believe it is fairly priced, although expensive, even with the minor foundation issues this is not flimsy at all, it is very strong, I am able to sit on it and it does move , rock or sway.
