I love the unit for it's storage space and good working counter. However, the stainless part is not "stainless." It scratches and stains easily. I've tried all sorts of cleaners (recommended for this surface) to no avail. They are small rust-like stains. I bought a hot pad runner to cover it. Amazing product. Very good quality and really worked for me and the purpose I wanted it. The only thing is that I decided to not add the sides pieces since I didn’t need it and wanted this to be in the middle of the kitchen. Also, I wrapped the top of the island with contact paper to match my countertop. Also I like that you can easily move it because of the wheels and it has a very good brake.
