Rodin Kiss Statue by Metropolitan Galleries was cast by the traditional, lost-wax bronze casting method. This labor-intensive and time-consuming method of casting bronze statues ensures pristine quality and vivid detail. Metropolitan Galleries, Inc. offers a large selection of bronze statues and bronze fountains perfect for indoor and outdoor use. This sculpture features intricate, hand-forged details with a beautiful fire-applied patina. All bronze statuary will develop a natural patina when left in nature's elements. The aged patina on bronzes is often desired but can be prevented by care and cleaning of the bronze statue by applying beeswax or other polish to prevent a patina from forming.

The First Kiss, which is also known as Amor and Psyche, is the beloved painting by French artist Bouguereau. Angel Cupid plants the kiss of love on an unsuspecting Psyche, whose soul takes wing in the form of a butterfly just as she succumbs to the sweetness of new infatuation. In this Neoclassical romantic image, soft blue swirling clouds, fluttering youthful angel wings and chubby cherubic cheeks are characteristic of this mythological interpretation of the power of love. The authentic stretched canvas replica painting captures the original work's texture, depth of color, and even its subtle brushstrokes, which are applied by hand. This replica , European style, bright gold-toned, ribbed frame is cast in quality designer resin with an acanthus leaf and floret border that draws the eye toward the beautiful image. Proudly printed and framed in the USA using imported molding.

When the angel Gabriel announced to Mary that she had been chosen to be the mother of the Christ, Mary answered, Here I am, the handmaid of the Lord. The model of humility and obedience, the mother of Jesus in this famous work of art serves as a daily reminder of how hearts, too, are meant to respond to God. Pioneers of Renaissance art, the Della Robbia family artisans elevated the terra cotta art form by marrying it with painting and glazing techniques that emphasize light and ideal beauty. This Design Toscano-exclusive version is cast in quality designer resin to capture detail from Mary's crowning halo to the horns of plenty at her feet. It is then hand painted in light-enhancing glazes including the characteristic Della Robbia blue. Commemorate baptisms, births, anniversaries, weddings, ordinations and other special spiritual occasions with this meaningful statuary collection.
