The top is a heavy board that is edge and finger joint glued together and finished in veneer. The legs are also fingerjointed boards. It generally looks nice, but the finish is quite sloppy. there are some rough spots where it was not thoroughly sanded too. I purchased this table because it was on sale. It did come with a few minor dings, but they weren’t visible. The only issue was the drawer had a small cracksplit in it. Something to note the drawer cannot be replaced on its own. I reached out to Wayfair about a new drawer and they were prepared to replace the entire desk. Since everything else was great, I opted to keep it. This desk is beautiful. the working surface is great, and very attractive. The desk is *extremely* sturdy (and heavy). I would recommend having its spot picked out and paying for assembly delivery.
