Just having to have emergency hamstring reattachment surgery to where I was laid up in bed for almost 6 weeks I was so afraid that I wouldn't be comfortable and not be able to get any rest to heal. That couldn't have been further from the truth. This mattress is firm and holds my body. I don't "sink in" like foam mattresses. It has just enough give in the padding on the very top so that you know you're not laying on " a board". I can only be comfortable being on firm mattresses and this is extremely helpful to my back and to my recovery for my hamstring. I wouldn't give this mattress up if God himself asked me for it. I LOVE this mattress. Made the mistake in the past of purchasing softer mattresses because they seemed plush at the store but only ever ended up with back pain. The reviews were good, but the bed has exceeded all expectations. We are 51 and 43 years of age and weigh 300 LBS between us. Weve worked and played hard this life. We have slept on this mattress for over a week now and every single time, as my 220 lb, blue collar husband wakes up, he comments that was the best sleep ever. He has slept all over the country, in every kind of bed there is. He rarely gives a compliment, unless well deserved. We have owned 3 mattresses in 4 years. We will not be buying any other mattress anytime soon but you should, if you need better sleep and less numbess and pain.
