I was on the fence about this protector before receiving. I have always used a mattress pad, but with my new mattress I was sleeping consistently hotter than usual. My new best friend! I used to spend so much money on very expensive mattresses – none of which ever made me as happy as purchasing a firm mattress and buying this 3 inch topper. One of our cats got locked in our son’s bedroom while we were away for the day and peed on the bed. This is a really nice waterproof mattress pad! It is not plasticky feeling and it doesnt sound like swishy when you sit on it or move around on the bed.
