This design is inspired by the woodpecker tapestry, 1885, by William morris (1834-1896). William Morris was an important British textile designer, artist, and writer who dominated the creative design force we know as the arts & crafts movement. Morris described tapestry weaving as the noblest of the weaving arts. The woodpecker tapestry is unusual in that it was one of very few designed by William Morris. In tradition, we have adapted this striking design for our woven home decor products, with today's homes in mind. The level of color, depth, and detail in the weaving is extraordinary!

Just wow. The runner is luscious, real tapestry, and it feeds my insatiable appetite for William Morris design. I will use my Spode William Morris dishes with it.. Art Nouveau. Flagstaff. Wed Aug 12 2026

I usually stay away from busy bedding designs, but I wanted a change and I liked the design and colors of this one. It reminds me of vintage French fabric. Washes well. It’s thin and lightweight good for spring and summer. It’s also reversible, but the light green side isn’t my style and looks a bit unfinished. It is a pretty lightweight quilt for everyday use..
