We chose the refund as the holes were coverable and minimal. We were afraid if we chose exchange, it come even more damaged, as others’s reviews had mentioned. Beautiful, well made heavy bed. However not white glove service, just “delivered and put together but my husband had to tighten everything as the crew did not even have proper tools. Whomever Wayfair has contracted with doesn’t even provide the crew with tools (other than a drill), no lift on truck so one person has to slide the box off the truck while the other one had to receive it. This furniture is extremely heavy. They unpacked in the room, sliding “heavy” furniture out of the box scratching my new hardwood flooring just installed the day prior. Took away packing but left residual trash. I had to ask they put the boxes on the contractor paper to open rather than on my new floor. Not sure they were happy as it meant they had to carry it about an extra 5-10 feet. I get it was heavy but then deliver should ensure these poor employees have moving straps, proper equipment and proper tools. Other reviews raised concerns that there might be cracks in the wood, I did not encounter issues with cracks or discoloration. Assembly was easy til the last step.
