These are nice chairs, look good and are sturdy. If you plan to keep them in the shade or in a covered porch or patio then you should be fine. It can take a little water and sun exposure from time to time, but as long as its not exposed to the elements 24/7, it should be fine. We planned to keep this out in the yard and made the mistake of choosing these wooden chairs instead of HDPE. We live in Florida, and get extreme sun and also very heavy and frequent rain. I got tired of chasing down my cheap chairs after every storm so I got these 3 years ago. They are heavy enough not to blow away but still light enough to move around. And they fold away when needed. The color is through and through and they look great after 3 years in the weather. I liked mine so much I requested another pair for Mother's day and I love them. For more comfort I paired them with the footrest/ ottoman. But you don't have to, I just prefer it. These will last for years and are worth it. Oh, and the cupholder is like icing on the cake! These chairs are awesome! They replaced the traditional wooden Adirondack chairs with many slats. They were wooden and therefore had to be constantly repainted. Mother Nature won out in the end. These are very nice chairs. They were pretty quick to assemble, as they weren't in a bunch of pieces. The box was very heavy, so be careful! They are quite comfortable, and have a wide seat. I want to give these chairs 5 stars but I’m going with ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. They were easy to assemble and happy they will be weather proof, and easy to stow away since they are foldable. I weigh 127 lbs and am very comfy in my chair, but my hubby seems to keep ‘sinking’ so even though the weight max is 250, anyone close to 200 is pushing the limit it seems.
