There are a couple of things to be aware of: 1) Although easy to do, there are many pieces to assemble, so count on maybe 2-3 hours of time to fully assemble the desk, hutch and all of the drawers. 2) Given the type of coated particle board construction that is used, there were some small blemishes on corners/ends of a few of the pieces. The desk is quite solid and easy to set up. Unfortunately the shipment did not come with the hutch that was shown in the photo. It's my miss as in the specifications they do state hutch not included but it's frustrating that I can't even order it separately as the manufacturer has discontinued that accessory. Wayfair should not be showing photos of the item if the accessory is no longer available to purchase separately. To their credit they offered a full refund and 10% off a future order but it would cost me well over $100 to ship the desk back. This is the perils of ordering furniture online I suppose. Looks great! It’s very sturdy. The black looks really nice. Took my husband two hours to put together but he wasn’t rushing. The drawers open smoothly but they do make slight sound as it sort of scrapes along the metal. The drawers don’t have stoppers so COULD fall on toes BUT they’re so deep that I can’t imagine that happening. We do plan to remedy that in some way because it for our 7yo son, but not necessary for older kids or adults. chair opening is very large which makes it nice for widercrossed-legged chairs.
