I have been very impressed with this Montessori floor bed. It is made of strong, sturdy wood, was relatively easy to construct, and has been a massive hit with my toddler. I love that it has installed bookshelves that can be used as he gets bigger. The mattress fits perfectly and allows him to climb in and out without needing assistance. The only thing that is slightly difficult is it making this bed can be hard. However, I think that any floor bed would be just as difficult. Overall, I would definitely recommend this purchase.. Super cute, my toddler was so excited. Took about 2.5 hours to build. Downside is the casters had to be left off or the drawers are too high to properly close all the way. Wish the support beams came with a few additional pieces so my husband and I felt more secure when laying in it with him to put him to sleep but overall sturdy enough. We also had to buy corner cushions for the pieces by the stairs because they are pretty sharp and my toddler slipped on the stairs and got a small cut by his eye when he hit the rails by the steps.. This should have stated in the listing, but this is meant for a 6” mattress “max”, says that on the cover of the instructions. This also should have had predrilled pilot holes for slates. Threaded inserts would have been even better. I would have even been happy with some pencil marks showing how to evenly space the slates. But honestly you cannot expect too much from a company nowadays and this is probably about as good as the competition gets and is priced around the same.
