We really like this bed! It seems pretty sturdy. It took us about a 2 hours to put it together. I was really impressed with the fabric provided for the canopy—it has a nice weight to it drapes beautifully. The slats on the bed are supportive enough to hold a mattress without a box spring or board. The bed is made of real wood that has been painted, so there are superficial imperfections here and there. However, we are happy with how the bed looks despite these small flaws. My three year old daughter helped pick out this bed for herself, and she was so excited to see it put together. Everything seems really sturdy and all the wood pieces fit nicely together, except for one stairs bar which won’t tighten fully and therefore is a little wobbly (I’ll be contacting the seller to hopefully get a replacement piece.) This is an awesome bed, however, you need patience when you’re putting it together read the instructions carefully. It took about four hours, but it was well worth it.!! I put it together for my grandson, he absolutely adores it underneath the bed. You can see a little fort he takes his truck in cars and sometimes he even naps underneath. And on the front side of the bed is a nice desk. where he does his homework.. however the lights to come with it do not circumference around the whole bottom of the bed. This bunk bed has two beds, plenty of sleeping space, and a semi-enclosed space under the bed, not only to sleep, but also to play. There is a tent-like house on the bed and it can also be disassembled. The slats of the upper bed also increase the load-bearing capacity of the bed. There is a ladder on the side of the bed to facilitate getting in and out of bed, and the upper bed has a guardrail to ensure safe sleep. This bed took nearly 4 hours to put together but that's because we realized 2 pieces were backwards when subsequent peices didn't fit. Follow the instructions closely, pay attention to the holes in the pictures, and don't tighten the screws until the bed is nearly fully assembled.
