Love the look of the bed, and easy to assemble. As long as your kids decide not to hang or climb the frame, you should be ok. The cutoff in the fabric is cool, but unsure how to secure it and have it stay in place without sewing additional ties/loops, or maybe velcro. To be fair, this could be caused by the way we attached the fabric, unsure. But the picture helps indicate that the flap doesn't reach, allowing it to sway. The lights add nice ambiance, but for us, because the bed is flush against the wall covering the outlet, a slim profile adapter that had the plug for the lights facing down would have been preferred. Also, I am unsure if there is a switch for the lights (couldn't find one), forcing you to unplug them each time. We chose to use an old external battery with an on/off button, but a smart plug would solve this issue. We purchased a Nectar children's mattress that fits perfectly. A piece to this bed broke the first week we had put it together. The piece where the child pulls on to get up the ladder is very flimsy and poorly designed. My husband tried to make a new piece 2x of the same part with no success, so finally just made a completely different design for that piece for the bed so it was much stronger to withhold the weight it needed to. Really hard to get together. Should be labels that say front and back to make easier. Use the picture from wayfair as a guide. Also the space between the shelf and bed sucks lol but we will use body pillow to block the space and avoid injury. Purchased for my 12 year old daughter. It was easy to put together, but took around 3.5 hours with two people. The quality is good, and the instructions were mostly easy to follow. She is very satisfied with the end result. We did find it to be flimsy without a box spring, so we took out the wood pieces and just put the box spring on the floor.
