Once put together, the bed frame is great and exactly what we wanted. The loss of a star has to do with shipment (the bed came in 2 boxes and they arrived 3 days apart) and difficulty to assemble. My four-and-a-half-year-old daughter absolutely loves this bed, especially her little “secret hideout” underneath! Amazing bed!! Putting it together definitely requires two people but it has very straightforward instructions. At a 140lbs I was able to climb on it and the bed was extremely sturdy. This bed has lots of storage space. It contains one drawer and two shelves. The underside of the stairs can also be used for storage.
