Ok, giving this 4.5 stars for aesthetic and solid wood frame. HOWEVER, please be cautioned There were some dings and splintering that are fortunately hidden after assembly with one acception. The assembly itself self took 2.5 hrs with a couple sanity breaks. Each spindled piece has an item sticker that would be visible and thus needed removal. I ruined my nails and spent 10x as long removing stickers and the glue as I did putting the head and footboard together. After FINALLY getting this bed put together, I almost cried contemplating the labor intensive deconstruction that would be required to take it out of the room. This project is not for the faint of heart. It is, indeed, a project. I would not deduct stars as paying for assembly is an option. Also, an oversight on my part, but the bedframe will not house a mattress and box spring, only a mattress. My biggest frustration was the assembly, and second the blemishes on the frame. Amazing bed!! Putting it together definitely requires two people but it has very straightforward instructions. At a 140lbs I was able to climb on it and the bed was extremely sturdy. The bed is beautiful and looks just like the pictures. It even came with foam extras to keep kiddos from getting bumps and lights which made a little party underneath and an app to control them!!! It took me four hours by myself to put together but the instructions were ok and all the hardware was there. Construction of the wood parts was good. It's very solid and I love having the trundle option under the bed. Just remember that you need a thinner mattress for the trundle pull out than for the top bed. Super cute, my toddler was so excited. Took about 2.5 hours to build. Downside is the casters had to be left off or the drawers are too high to properly close all the way. Wish the support beams came with a few additional pieces so my husband and I felt more secure when laying in it with him to put him to sleep but overall sturdy enough. We also had to buy corner cushions for the pieces by the stairs because they are pretty sharp and my toddler slipped on the stairs and got a small cut by his eye when he hit the rails by the steps.. It was not hard to install. There were a lot of parts and took several hours with 2 people, but it came together nicely. It seemed to be of good quality and offered a lot of storage options. It has lighting which makes it really cool. The lighting works with an app and has charging options in one of the shelves. It comes with a basket for the top shelve to store stuff in.
