My only complaint is that, while I know wood grain can come with natural imperfections, I wasn’t expecting this much minor aesthetic damage, but not enough to really complain and send back (some of the white in my picture is styrofoam I haven’t gotten off yet). I absolutely LOVE this swingset! I would highly recommend it. Quality is incredible and it looks beautiful. This comes in 3 large boxes of parts and a slide. It’s a great idea to lay out all of the wood parts organized by letter and I would also encourage you to lay out all of the hardware by number otherwise you end up looking for parts for quite a while. There are tons of pieces but it goes together really well. I used the Bilt app which is also amazing for when the steps aren’t very clear on the paper directions (you can also use the app to look at a 3D model of any step from any angle which is very helpful). I would also recommend having 2 drills or at least an extra drill battery. I worked on this project for about 16 hours total with help from my dad and husband when extra hands were needed.. Lia. A couple of downsides the handle on the storage compartment came off almost immediately, and the tabletop is difficult to lift when you want to access the storage underneath. Overall, it’s an adorable table that kids enjoy, but I don’t expect it to hold up for years with regular use. Having 4 kids, I knew this would be a big hit with my youngest son. His older brothers used to own the older Step2 model of this roller coaster, but I eventually gave it away. I usually wait until a certain age to surprise the boys with this set, but my fourth son is much taller. Having three older brothers, he is also much more mature and a quick learner. It arrived in many pieces, but everything was included and nothing was missing (what a relief!). It was super easy to set up, and it even came with stickers for me to apply to the design. Before I knew it, my youngest son was all over this. In fact, he cannot stop riding around on this roller coaster! From morning to night, he is on this roller coaster, which is why I still have not put it away. My husband and I decided to keep this one indoors due to the super hot weather outside, so that he can enjoy cool indoor time. Once fall is here, we will move it to our outdoor space for him and his older brother to enjoy. I love that the maximum weight is 50 pounds, which allows his older brother to bring back his toddler memories and have fun with his youngest brother! Although, I cannot tell you enough how many times a day I hear my 8-year-old and 11-year-old tell me how much they wish Step2 would create one for bigger kids to enjoy as well. Hint hint, Step2! This platinum edition is well worth it. It comes with a ride-on toy that looks like a motorcycle, a 9-foot track to ride on, and steps to climb up to the ride. It is excellent for 2 to 5-year-olds and up to a maximum of 50 pounds. This set is very well designed and safe for my toddler, who is having the time of his life! This would make an excellent gift for a 2-year-old for a birthday, just because, or as a gift from Santa. I look forward to adding other Step2 pieces to my backyard and home!
