Looks as good at home as it is in photos and we were able to build it without professional help. We added a few reinforcement pieces because it seems fairly light and I am a little worried that it will not hold up over the years. The kids are 2 and 4 years old so hopefully it will last. It went together pretty easily but it takes awhile. I want to say it took me about 12 hours to get it completely together. The instructions are easy to understand but some of the bolt sizes it says to use are not correct. There are a lot of 2-14” bolts and a lot of 2-12” bolts. However it tells you to use the 2-14” bolts in almost everything and you run out by the time you actually need the 2-14” bolts. I ended up going back and installing the longer 2-12” bolts in a lot of places where there is thicker lumber and called for the 2-14” bolts to be able to have enough 2-14” bolts to use where they were actually needed. Also I flipped the swing and slide so I could have the play set oriented the way I wanted in my yard. The directions don’t explain how to do that but it’s easy enough to figure out. If you have a heat gun use it to assemble the slide it’s super helpful. The whole thing is a bit smaller than I expected. It’s perfect for my daughter who just turned four but I was hoping this would be something she could use until she was maybe 8-10. I’m worried she will grow out of this sooner than I had hoped. Overall, this was a great buy for our family. It was a big family project to put it all together. The spider swing has had to be fixed multiple times where the bolts came out. Great Playhouse! The directions on the other hand were terrible… My husband has a lot of experience in building, and this took about eight hours in total to put together due to the poor instructions. The Playhouse itself however, is great. My son really loves it. It feels sturdy for the most part, but my husband does intend to put three more two by fours under the main floor for additional security because it does feel a bit rickety in some places. I would not however call this unsafe as it does support him, myself, and our child with no issue. The floorboards just bend a little as you walk over them, which makes us a little nervous.
