Comes largely put together and you have to slot in a couple of pieces and that is it. Took 15 mins with 2 of us. Fabric is surprisingly good for the price and is nice to the touch. The seat part of the sofa is not hard but not soft. I would say medium to soft but this is understandable given it is a sofa bed and I am overall very impressed with its comfort. Got this beautiful black velvet electric recliner sofa and its absolutely amazing. It took some time to assemble each seat with its own motor but not difficult. Comes with a remote control to pull out all the 3 seats to make a bed or individual for reclining. What makes it smooth to make the bed or back to a sofa is it has wheels in the front for better control. Pull out the bed frame under the seat. There are two length options. When it is not fully pulled out, it becomes a chaise sofa, and when it is fully pulled out, this sofa can quickly turn into a Queen-size bed for resting. With high quality sponge,plus soft and skin-friendly corduroy ,the sofa is comfortable which is perfect to sit as well as to sleep on it. With premium quality steel tubing, double reinforcements, and stabilizing legs, the steel folding cot sturdily maintains balance with no worry of toppling over. Love the Quaility and modular construction. Very easy to put together. Day 2 of delivery and still see a little sign of compression on back cushions but expect that to decompress with time. The microfiber material seen very good in Quaility. My only minor issue was a few springs on the pull out had fallen out and need to be reinstalled but nothing after that. I would recommend it. This sofa may have been the best purchase of 2026! Our daughter needed a sofafuton for her dorm room and this fit absolutely perfectly under her lofted bed! It came rolled up and compressed in a box which was perfect for transport. It was about 40lbs so on the heavier side. The outside of the box was misleading. There was a drawing of what like looked like a beanbag chair, which had us all worried. Upon arriving at the dorm, we opened the packaging and the sofa expanded. It was “installed” in 5 minutes. No weird off-gassing smells either. Note it takes 72 hours for the sofa to be ready for use. It’s been two weeks and my daughter still reports that the sofa is extremely comfortable and is getting much use. She already has a list of friends ready to come visit!
