This Freezer/Fridge was very much something for a big family's needs. Setup: It was the easiest setup of any appliance I've ever had. Frigidaire Chest freezer was already preassembled. The only thing is having the casters installed at the bottom of the freezer with is optional. Caster comes with brakes and glide very easily if you plan on moving it around to access the drain plug. Controls & Settings: Once the casters were on, the chest freezer was ready to use. To power it on and off, you just need to plug in the power outlet and unplug it when turning it off. There is a temperature control panel. It comes with an option from freezer to fridge and vice versa. Also, the temperature can be set in C or F. It also comes with a Freezer Boost option. The temp panel has an option to be Lock and unlock option. Defrosting Option: The chest can be defrosted very easily. Once you turn off the freezer, you can scrape off the frost with the provided scraper. Once completely defrosted, we can unplug the rubber plug and drain the excess water out. Even though it says it takes 4 hours to complete functioning and cooling. But I found it takes more than 8 hours for the freezer to be up and running. The chest came with 2 baskets that can be slid easily. If you have kids, and just for safety, it also comes with a key to lock the chest freezer. So far, we are enjoying this new appliance added to our garage, and I would definitely recommend others to invest in this if you are a food lover, have a big family, or entertain family and friends a lot.. 15163049641. The freezer is everything I was wanting it to be. But that being said, the delivery process was upsetting. I purposely ordered it to coincide with 600 meatballs I was making on the day it was due to be delivered. I bypassed several other marketplaces because of the delivery date. I allowed a day if there was a delay. But no sooner had it shipped than I was told it would be delayed about 9 days and not to even worry about it until then. I tried to cancel the order. I shopped local and found a replacement. Found a team that would bring it here. I tried to track the freezer from Wayfair but there were no updates. I tried to get it returned from where ever it was, but no. Then I received notice it would arrive on the 11th, then the 12th, then the 11th again. Please dont' do this to other customers. All opinions expressed in this post are personal and should not be attributed to LG. We had been in the market for a new fridge and we replaced our old GE fridge with this. My first impression after it was installed was how much space this had. We looked at a few options in this size range before choosing this one, and are beyond happy wit this unit. It is slightly less wide than our old unit, but has additional depth which makes a huge difference. We really like the single bottom drawer freezer which opens up to two levels. The automatic ice maker is amazing, and the fridge also has a feature where you can increase the speed/amount of ice it makes if you're planning to have guests over or just need extra ice. The doors open super smooth and the lighting in the fridge is really crisp. One feature we really liked is that, if the door is open too long or if someone left it ajar slightly, the fridge will alert you. One thing I'd recommend is to make sure you think about which side you want to open the door from, given the layout of your kitchen, so you can have the installation team make that adjustment at the time of install. It's pretty easy to swap the door/hinges/handle, but you'll just need some standard tools (as well as a 1/4 inch hex socket wrench). Overall we love the fridge and how spacious it is.
