The ladder back and the details on the legs are gorgeous. They are also quite heavy and solid (about 34 pounds each), so no wobbles. I had 2 bar height stools (4 years old) and wanted a 3rd, so I went to my Previous orders and reordered... didn't realize it defaulted to the counter height, so now I'm stuck with a shorter stool. oh well. I can use it in another room. The original stools were used daily and look pretty good 4 years later. Surprisingly good chairs!! I was a little concerned for the bargain price that the quality might not be there, but I was wrong. Single girl problems……It did take me several hours to assemble the six chairs, but the payoff was worth it. Sturdy and comfortable, the stylish chairs could complement a number of decor styles. Super thrilled with this purchase and would highly recommend. The stain is a darker brown and the middle crossbars in the back are black.
