This is a high-quality Japanese joinery bed frame. It relies entirely on amazing wood-on-wood tension rather than metal fasteners, nails, or glue. I like the solid hardwood construction. The corner joints slot together smoothly without forced hammering. Really easy to put the joints together. Assembly takes me about 20 minutes by simply following the instructions and interlocking the components in sequence. The precision wood-on-wood joinery eliminates creaking entirely. The nightstand itself is great. Feels sturdy, minimalist mid-century design is just as pictured, and I think it’s a great value for the quality. The issue I had is more of a user error - the color is super reddish. And it was much lighter in person than in photos. For reference I chose the Caramel color.
