This is a really beautiful, thick rug and looks far better than pictured because the colors are just a little bit brighter. The border is actually a dark brown, so the rug goes well with my brown velvet couch. I also like the mildly distressed look. I have never been disappointed by a Karastan rug and like every other one I've ever had, this one looks like a very high-end choice. I was reluctant to buy a synthetic rug but took a chance because of past experiences with Karastan and I'm glad I did - I doubt you could beat or even match the quality in this price range.. Joie.
