Nice quality. The color representation as seen on my laptop and phone matched the rug as seen in person. Heavy weight, nice density. Soft underfoot. Would buy this again.. Elizabeth. Jupiter, FL. Fri Oct 23 2026

Really nice rug. We wanted a very low pile and it is beautiful. It does have a slightly more green tint overall than the pictures indicate, but that is simply how to photographs. Even the pictures I take of it don't show the same greenish gold tint. It is a really beautiful. It almost looks vintage.. Joel. Omaha, NE. Tue Apr 06 2021

It's a nice rug, however, it is not brown anywhere and the green is a light muted teal. I kept it because it will still work. Very muted and soft colors, and is a quality rug.. Debbie. Rochester, MI. Sat Jan 08 2022

"Drawing from the refined Anatolian weaving heritage the 7'11"" x 10'1"" hand-knotted wool Oushak rug offers a measured study in softness scale and understated ornamentation making it especially suited to light-filled composed interiors. Hand-knotted from wool with a cotton foundation the rug features a low pile of approximately 0.40 giving it a flatter more relaxed profile that emphasizes pattern clarity while remaining easy to maintain and comfortable underfoot. The design follows a traditional Oushak layout distinguished by generously spaced botanical motifs rather than dense ornamentation. The beige field forms a calm neutral base over which stylized floral medallions and scrolling vines appear in blush and sage lending a gentle warmth to the surface. Secondary detailing in tan and soft green defines leaf forms and stems while subtle touches of gray are used sparingly within the outlining adding depth without darkening the overall palette. The border mirrors the central tones featuring botanical elements in blush sage and tan set against a lighter beige ground creating a cohesive and airy frame. Well-suited for living rooms bedrooms or dining spaces this rug pairs beautifully with pale woods linen upholstery natural textures and neutral palettes functioning as a quiet anchor rather than a dominant focal point."Story Behind the Art : Oushak Rugs originating in the west-central Anatolian town of Oushak in Turkey are renowned for their exceptional texture expansive design and elegant style. Softly timeworn in character and rich in heritage this 6' x 8'11'' hand-knotted wool Oushak rug captures the relaxed elegance that defines traditional Anatolian weaving. Woven with a 0.30 low refined pile on a cotton foundation the rug features classic Oushak motifs with its large-scale floral and geometric forms rendered in an intentionally open airy layout. The design appears gently abridged and lightly distressed allowing the motifs to feel as though they emerge organically from the field rather than sitting rigidly on top of it. A warm beige ground anchors the composition while layers of moss aqua muted gold and subtle aubergine accents drift across the surface creating a softly antiqued painterly effect. The subdued palette and relaxed patterning give the rug a naturally aged look making it equally at home in traditional interiors and modern spaces seeking warmth depth and understated sophistication. The low pile enhances the worn-in aesthetic while offering durability and an easy elegant drape on the floor all hallmarks of fine Oushak-inspired rugs.Story Behind the Art : Oushak Rugs originating in the west-central Anatolian town of Oushak in Turkey are renowned for their exceptional texture expansive design and elegant style. Even prettier than shown online. The ivory is darker--almost a goldish green. There's a weird smell on the rug that I hope will evaporate now that it's unwrapped. UPDATE: Just changed to 5 stars. The weird smell gone in just a few hours. This rug is beautiful.. Lydia. Fayetteville, NY. Thu Mar 07 2024

This rug has more brightness to it because the gold center is deeper in color. And it also has very short pile and short fringe. I am undecided about keeping either of them at this point.. Nancy. Rancho Santa Fe, CA. Wed Jul 08 2020

The designs are great, but the color combination for the designs could be improved. Some colors look as if they are stains. The pile is 100% wool, but the foundation is not. Pros: Excellent design. Cons: Foundation is not 100% wool.. Metin. Holmdel, NJ. Wed Oct 28 2015
