After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University in 1998, Blakely Bering put her studies in costume and set design to direct use by working in opera design and television production around the United States, before returning to her home of Texas. Transitioning from large scale design to fine art was seamless and natural for her. Painting figurative abstractions and “Blooms” at first, Blakely’s art evolved into pure abstraction. Experimenting with techniques, mediums, and styles; the “Oil slick” developed in 2006, recognized as Blakely’s classic style. Reflecting on her theatrical sense, the artwork is powerful from thirty feet away. Inspired by her love of cooking, Blakely combines oils, powdered pigments, crushed metals, and secret ingredients, from scratch, to create her own paint mixtures. Her work is known not only for its beauty and sense of frozen movement but for its sustained ability over time.

Their warm wood finish and neutral tones effortlessly complement kitchens, dining rooms, apartments, and cozy café-inspired spaces.

I originally fell in love with nearly identical dining chairs on a much more expensive website, but I couldn’t justify spending over $400 per chair! When I came across these on Wayfair for such a reasonable price, I figured I would give them a try. I am SO glad I did! They completely exceeded my expectations! They are beautiful, incredibly sturdy, and surprisingly comfortable. The quality is amazing for the price, and they look just as good as the more expensive version. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase and would absolutely recommend them!. Francesca. Putnam County, NY. Wed Oct 21 2026

I love the image, very pretty! I didn’t give it 5 stars though because the canvas needed to be pulled a bit tighter over the frame. We tightened it some with the plastic corner mounts provided, but it just wouldn’t pull it quite tight enough. But I like it, 4 stars!. Joan. West Palm Beach Drive, FL. Fri Feb 24 2023
