Johnny Cash Mugshot

Venice Beach Collections brings you this infamous mugshot. Johnny Cash the “Man In Black” had a famous bad boy outlaw image. With songs like “Folsom Prison Blues "and his live concerts “At Folsom Prison” and “At San Quentin” it would lead you to believe he was a hardened criminal, yet Cash never served a prison sentence. He was arrested seven times for misdemeanors and never spent more than one night in jail. His most famous arrest was this arrest on October 4, 1965, in El Paso, Texas.

Venice Beach Collections brings you this infamous mugshot. As the story goes, in 1938 when a man convinced an unmarried woman of good repute to engage in an inappropriate encounter with him generally by promising marriage that was never actually forecoming, thereby ruining her reputation. In 1938, a 23-year-old Sinatra found himself in just such a situation, and he was officially arrested and booked for Seduction. The charge was eventually dropped when it was discovered that the supposedly single woman was in fact married. Later that year, armed with this new information, the original charge was revised slightly, and Sinatra was again arrested, this time for Adultery.

Venice Beach Collections brings you this infamous mugshot. Everybody knows who Martin Luther King, Jr. is, and what he did as a civil rights hero to contribute to freedom and equality for African Americans. But few people know that MLK was arrested almost 30 times fighting for what he believed in. His so-called "crimes" varied, and his arrests took place in various different cities in the south. In this 1963 mugshot, he was arrested in Birmingham, Alabama for demonstrating without a permit. During his time in jail, he wrote what is now known as his historic “Letter from Birmingham Jail.”
