Carefully selected thickened solid wood, durable, natural and beautiful texture, provides strong support and elegant appearance for the island.

Nice island but the description said 31”H and that was exactly the reason I bought it. The actual item is 36”H. Wayfair gave a discount to keep the item and we cut it down to 33”. It’s ok but not ideal. Product description needs to be updated. Note: the drawers are shallow both in depth and height.. Victoria. Belmont, MA. Tue Jul 21 2026

Very classy design, heavy and sturdy with eye-catching detail and impressive proportions. This was a significant purchase for my new home, and it looks like it was made just for my kitchen. But I am not $1,500 worth of happy... I would put my happiness rating at about $900. But I paid over $1,500 and I have some issues with this item. Mostly, the paint and overall finish on the legs and frame it not what I expected. The little bare detail spots are very rough and not sanded smooth so they will snag clothing if you brush up against it. And the wood used for the legs is heavy but also can be dented quite easily (which happened during assembly using a hand tool). But the real kicker for me is the paint job... for this much money it just doesn't seem to be "finished." You can scratch it off with a fingernail. With 3 small dogs in my house this is a potential problem. Add to that, the paint was not sealed in any way- and John Boos SELLS a poly coat product! I guess John Boos wants me to spend another $30.... and apply it myself. Which would have been easier before I assembled it. Now that it's put together, it will be a difficult job. So for a piece that cost almost as much as my new leather sofa I am satisfied enough with it, but not totally happy and excited.. Karen M. Lawrenceville, GA. Sat Apr 26 2025

Beautiful piece of craftsmanship. Delivery could have been better. I just happened to see them putting the 160 pound butcher block in front of my garage door. "Built to handle the demands of everyday use, every inch of this well-designed, industrial-style workbench is made to last. From the roomy drawers built for weight to the sturdy lower shelf that's just the right size for tools or storage baskets, this wheeled wonder is an excellent addition to any space in the home, from the front hallway to the kitchen, and even the garage. Smooth-Gliding Wheels: All four legs in this industrial workbench end in smooth-gliding caster wheels, enabling it to move with ease when you're setting up a project or redecorating. Need the table to stay put? Two of the wheels offer lever-style locking to keep the workbench from moving or rolling as you work. Well-Sized: Measuring an impressive 72 inches wide, 24 inches deep, and 37 inches high, this is a substantial piece with plenty of surface area for tools, decor, and more. The wheeled base makes it easy to move from room to room - for projects and building areas like the garage or basement. The sturdy hand-finished wooden top gives the piece visual weight without making it difficult to relocate when necessary. Materials: Built with solid Acacia and powder-coated steel mesh along the lower shelf, the riveted details at the corner aren't just for show: this wheeled workbench will offer performance for years, even under heavy demands. Campaign-style hardware on the drawer pulls is recessed to prevent snags and stubs in narrow hallways or tight workspaces, too. Built Tough: While this wheeled industrial table has the looks to easily blend in as interior decor, make no mistake: it's capable of handling a lot. The thick rubberwood top holds up to 1000 pounds of weight, the lower steel shelf holds up to 200 pounds, and the drawers are rated to hold up to 100 pounds on sturdy metal glides. The drawer features a solid wood front for added durability, as well. Easy to Assemble: You've got enough projects on your to-do list; our furniture is crafted intelligently to be sure it doesn't end up as yet another. Clear instructions and minimal assembly are required to get this beautiful industrial-style wheeled workbench ready to use and enjoy in your home."

The table is perfect for my purposes and was fairly easy to put together with two people. The drawers come preinstalled to the table top, which is nice, but you would think they would be space properly. They’re don’t slide as well as I would like them too. They fit very tight against each other and the edges of the drawers run quite a bit. That’s the reason for four stars.. Ashley. Saint Augustine, FL. Fri Jun 12 2026

So far it's a great cutting board. Definitely have to follow the care recommendations for the initial oiling and seasoning for the first week or so. But after you get the protective layer going, its inly light maintenance. We'll see how it holds up going forward, but seems like it will be fantastic. Anonymous. US. Sun Apr 05 2026

Item top is made of all-natural American black walnut wood. Walnut sapwood is white and John Boos uses all of the wood. It’s a tone color of the wood and the tone of the wood varies within the tree itself. Variations in the final product are not defects and therefore not covered under our warranty.

Love the prep table! Heavy and very sturdy!. Kimberly. Graham, TX. Sun Apr 07 2019
