We purchased this bed frame to use with our split king adjustable bases, and it worked out perfectly. Since the adjustable bases support the mattresses, we only needed the frame for the headboard, footboard, and overall appearance. The bed is beautiful, feels solid once assembled, and really elevated the look of our bedroom. Assembly was straightforward overall. The only issue we encountered was that one of the side rail hooks wasn’t positioned correctly from the factory, so we had to loosen the screws, adjust the hook into the proper position, and tighten it back down so the rail would connect to the headboard correctly.
