Nothing detracts from a well-appointed patio faster than an umbrella base that wobbles. The Island Umbrella 50-lb cast iron umbrella base combines serious anchoring weight with a design that earns its place in any outdoor space. The build starts with 50 lbs of solid cast iron, a 23-in diameter footprint, and a steel dual-stem system that delivers two configurations in one. Use the 17.5-in tall stem for free-standing shade on a deck, poolside, or in the garden; switch to the 6.5-in short stem to center it under a patio table. Swapping stems is a simple threaded connection, and all assembly hardware is included. Two independent comfort-grip anchoring knobs tighten at separate points along the stem, gripping standard market umbrella poles from 1-3/8-in to 1-7/8-in for a wobble-free hold, and this 50lb umbrella base supports canopies up to 10 ft. Two included pole adapters dial in the fit: the small adapter fits poles up to 1-3/8-in and the large adapter fits poles up to 1-7/8-in, and they come connected, so cut to separate them if you only need one. Built as a dependable extra heavy umbrella stand, it transforms patios, decks, poolside areas, and garden corners into outdoor living spaces ready for summer gatherings, weekend entertaining, and family dinners outdoors. The weather-resistant brushed antique bronze finish resists rust, wear, and fading through seasons of use, and the classic sunburst radial fluted design adds a timeless decorative element that complements most outdoor furniture styles. Place the base on a firm, level surface and use a protective pad on delicate deck finishes. Backed by Island Umbrella's 90-day limited warranty and U.S.-based support, this cast iron base is engineered for lasting residential use. Cover or store during harsh winter season to extend finish life.

Now this is a heavy umbrella base! Someone said “get the heaviest one you can find”. My husband was not happy with me but that umbrella does not move in this base! I’m not sure how easy the wheels are for transport because I wouldn’t be able to tilt this thing back to use them (on one side).
