I purchased these for the living room thinking. I was going to go more Polynesian in my second home when I got new furniture. That didn’t happen so I put them in the bedroom. They’re fine there but I will probably eventually change them out since they are not the best with this furniture either. They were a great price. They were packed well but did have a flaw on one side. It wasn’t bad enough to send back. I just turned it toward the wall. No biggie. What a great lamp my DEER! I'm very happy with my purchase - look how cute this is and how it complements my nightstand! The 3-way nightlight is adorable. Please note that the wire around the center is part of the decoration - it wasn't mentioned in the instructions and I could see someone unraveling it thinking it was part of the cord (I almost did:)). The shade was easy to snap on and it was well protected in the box. If I gave any points off it would be that you can see the wire rim if you are standing up looking at the lamp and the charging port is easily reachable for the person on the right side of the bed but the person on the left side will have to turn the lamp to get to the port (not a big deal but a detail to be aware of).
