Ivory Matelasse Bedspread

Luxuriously quilted in a fancy blossom stitch all over, this set features fabric-bound scalloped borders. The classic stitch pattern pairs easily with existing decor and will add a new decorative element to the bedroom.

I am so happy with my purchase of this bedspread!!! The bedspread is absolutely beautiful in person!!! It was my third purchase to try and find the right look for my room. I have an extra thick mattress and this one fits wonderfully being a Queen extra wide with plenty of overhang on both sides of the bed. Most full/queens spreads do not completely cover my queen bed with the proper overhang but this one does. Great Purchase!!! I am in love with this one!!!. Nanette. US. Tue Aug 25 2026

Hugh is a classic matelassé constructed of mercerized cotton for a sleek appearance and hand feel. The all-over stippling design provides subtle interest, and the coverlet is finished with scalloped edge rounded front corners. Matelasse (mat-la-SAY) is a weaving or stitching technique yielding a pattern that appears quilted or padded. Matelass may be achieved by hand, on a jacquard loom, or a quilting machine. It is meant to mimic the style of hand-stitched quilts made in Marseilles, France. It is a heavy, thick textile that appears to be padded, but actually has no padding within the fabric. Our Hugh Matelasse has a soft, pebble-like texture.

Classic style and decorative arts culture: the Charles 100% cotton matelassé bedding collection offers a unique history that incorporates the fine arts and superior craftsmanship of 18th-century England. Designs from the archives of their heritage were interpreted to create the lovely Charles bedspread, which portrays rolling arches, half-moons, double diamonds, and scrolling vine details wrapped around the classic topiary, pheasant, sun, and pineapple motifs. The luxurious fabric offers a generous weight and is stonewashed for softness.

Our Juliet Matelassé Coverlet is a long time favorite. Its textured basket weave design and garment-washed finish make it soft and sumptuous. Available in five favorite neutrals to go with all of your Peacock Alley bedding. Available in coverlets and shams.

Wow! Love it! I’m now a total peacock alley fan, if you have a king bed, this version (and many other peacock alley versions) have more generous sizing to allow extra drape on the sides. Not too much, it isn’t like a bedspread. Also I love that the Juliet has some give. I have the Hamilton which I love but it has zero give and looks more like a quilt. It’s gorgeous too. It depends on what you are going for. Both are in the luxury bedding category,. Mary. Reno, NV. Sat Oct 10 2026

I bought several of these – I came for my master and two twins for the guest room. It’s a very lightweight quilt, which is fine for Florida. Pretty floral design that is very subtle. Beautiful set and a great price.. Karen. Thu Oct 22 2026

I’m delighted with this beautiful quilt. It’s much prettier than the pictures showed when shopping. I like the weight of it, too. Several years ago, I brought one similar but it was much heavier, and was difficult to wash and dry. I would totally recommend this quilt!. Sandy. Frisco, TX. Fri Jan 21 2022

This Bedspread is absolutely gorgeous. I love the oversized feature. I love that it is light, if more cover is needed will use a blanket or quilt. It looks great on my antique bed. The only thing—it had a “plastic smell” when I removed it from the packaging. I let it air out for over 24 hours and now it is fine. Not a deal breaker—I am very happy with this item.. Jlele. if I could have given zero Stars I would have. the appearance in the photos is nothing like the reality. I have had comforters of this style before and they are beautifully stitched and well made. this thing is actually furry, no kidding the fur is about 3/8 of an inch long and it looks extremely tacky and for $80! even for $15 I would have returned it. then when I tried to return it they wanted to charge me a $15 return fee even though I just returned two upholstered wood benches that were six times this size and in two boxes that came in the wrong finish for free. every time I try to return it on the website or through chat it would not do it finally had to call customer service and a live agent handled it for me. this is a third order in a row that I've had trouble with coming in other than as presented on their website. I've ordered from Wayfair for years and never had trouble but lately it's nothing but problems I don't know what's going on with the company but I don't think I'll be ordering from them again..
