A few days of hanging on the curtain rod was enough to relax the rest. I assume that the light blocking weave has something to do with the stubborn wrinkles. Panel width is the finished width between the first pleat to the last. At least 2X of fabric width are used to make pleats and folds, which are more gathered than other headings and have permanent sewn-in pleats for a more elegant and aesthetic look.
